From Basement to Breakthrough: Evolution’s Game-Changing Windshield
What began as hand-drawn sketches and home-built prototypes has evolved into a patented, production-ready innovation that’s redefining the golf cart experience. For over two decades, Evolution founder and designer Fitz Woodrow has been designing, testing, and patenting a windshield built to enhance rider safety, comfort, and experience across golf carts and other low-speed vehicles.
That mission became personal after Fitz was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma—linked to years of unprotected sun exposure while golfing. It was a wake-up call that underscored just how inadequate standard windshields are, especially when it comes to UV protection.
The result is a revolutionary, patented windshield system designed for effortless installation and long-term performance. It blocks 99% of harmful UV rays, resists hazing and scratching, and delivers crystal-clear optics in all weather conditions.
Backed by four issued patents (with two more pending), the Evolution windshield is now in full-scale production through a partnership with BAW Plastics, Inc.—one of the nation’s leading U.S.-based plastics fabricators, with over 160,000 square feet of advanced manufacturing space and decades of experience producing golf cart windshields.
Evolution is also proud to partner with XPEL, a global leader in protective films and coatings. Through this collaboration, every Evolution windshield is enhanced with XPEL’s advanced protection film—delivering trusted, premium-grade defense against the elements.
Together, these partnerships, patents, and personal passion are raising the bar for what’s possible. We’re not just building better windshields—we’re protecting people, enhancing performance, and helping golfers enjoy the game they love, safely and sustainably, for generations to come.
