Evolution Windshields was founded in Charlottesville, Virginia by Fitz Woodrow III, a lifelong golfer who couldn't shake a simple observation: golf carts had evolved into premium vehicles, but their windshields hadn't kept up. Standard windshields scratched, rattled, clouded, and yellowed within a season or two — and on top of all that, let nearly all UV radiation through to the people riding behind them. The UV gap, in particular, felt like a glaring missed opportunity. He set out to design a windshield that could solve every one of those problems at once.

As he started talking to dealers, fleet operators, and fellow golfers, it became clear the industry quietly agreed — these were known issues no one had bothered to fix. Years into the journey, Fitz was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, the result of decades of unprotected sun exposure on the course. The diagnosis didn't start the mission, but it made it deeply personal. Today, Evolution's flagship products — our Clear & Tinted MagMount™ UV-Blocking windshields for Club Car Precedent, Onward, Tempo and Yamaha Drive 2 carts — represent that vision in physical form. His son, Fitz IV, joined the company in 2025 to help spread awareness and grow the brand.
